We take pride in our food credentials and what we serve children in nursery

Our meals and snacks are planned with our children and parents and are unique each week. Our dishes are freshly prepared from scratch by our wonderful Nursery Cook and refrain from using any processed sauces or ingredients. The milk and eggs are organic and free range. Where possible we use organic, free range meat and vegetables. A small proportion of our food is grown in the nursery garden by the children. We cater for children with any additional dietary requirements as well as provide plant based (Vegan) option.

We encourage all our children to be as independent as possible by the time their journey comes to an end with us and they are ready to go to school. Children are given opportunities to self-serve when appropriate, including learning how to pour drinks, grasp, hold cutlery correctly, cut up their food, spread and hold, learn good table manners and be social when eating altogether.

We’re constantly evolving the way we create our menus

We feel children gain many skills when self-serving and learn about good table manners, turn taking, portion size, sharing and many more essential life skills. Children are provided with appropriate utensils to self-serve and they take great enjoyment and a sense of achievement from this simple practice.

We take pride in our food credentials and what we serve children in nursery. All of our menus are nutritionally balanced, paying special attention to reducing salt and sugar.
We’re constantly evolving the way we create our menus and we regularly take on board feedback from children, parents and staff to help us develop dishes that meet the needs of many. Our current menus include many childhood favourites with a healthy twist, ensuring children receive the correct nutritional balance they need. Better yet why not try some of our recipes at home.
