Our Nursery arrange photographer visits throughout the year to capture your child’s day playing or having adventures in the garden, as well as giving you the opportunity to come to the nursery and have a family portrait. Parents are more than welcome to bring a change of clothes for their child to wear for the photographs.

Prior to the photographer visit, an email will be sent to parents informing them of the company visiting, the date and time, the delivery date for ordered photographs and whether siblings are able to attend.

There is a small fee for this service, parents will liaise with the photographer directly for payment for the photographs.

All photographers used by CurioCity Childcare will hold an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service checks which will be shown to the nursery manager on duty upon arrival.

CurioCity Childcare use an online system to record the development of our children and inform next steps for practitioners and parents. We have a secure tablet in each room to take video, audio and stills, and parents and carers have a login so they can see and be involved with their child’s learning log throughout the day.

CurioCity Childcare provides an ad-hoc drop-in service for families. This service is available throughout the year. Pre-booking is required and places are allocated subject to availability within each room whilst not exceeding the Nursery’s registered capacity.

It is available for all attending families, providing temporary add-on schedules to cover additional childcare requirements as we understand how hectic life can sometimes be.

The cooking workshops will be run weekly at the nursery, for children to learn, make and get excited about food.

Children will get involved in the whole cooking process and learn skills such as mixing, kneading, chopping and pouring all with close support, to encourage and develop the skills of independence.

Football Fun is an activity for children to take part in at nursery. The children can play whilst practising new skills, building their confidence and social skills while also keeping active

Yoga has many benefits for children such as helping to increase balance, coordination and core strength. It can also aid relaxation and promote a sense of achievement.
At CurioCity Childcare, yoga is lead by a qualified person through games. This helps children to trust, have more confidence and self-esteem as well as problem-solving and working with partners or as a team.

Teaching of additional languages like French, Spanish, Mandarin will soon be available!
